Comprehensive ABA Treatment

In-home & Clinic-based Comprehensive ABA Treatment

In ABA therapy, one of the most successful ways to help a child make progress is by providing comprehensive ABA treatment. This type of intervention addresses a wide range of critical developmental skills, such as communication, social, and attention skills, rather than focusing on only one skill area.

This “whole child” approach to treatment allows children to make gains across a variety of developmental domains. Children make progress in comprehensive ABA intervention by teaching skills in small lessons through explicit directions and positive reinforcement. A comprehensive intervention plan may be long-term and occur in multiple settings.

One example of comprehensive ABA treatment is early intensive intervention for early learners. The goal of this treatment for early learners is to close the gap between the child’s skill level and that of peers who are typically developing. Early intensive interventions often include 30-40 hours of treatment per week. Comprehensive ABA intervention programs are often beneficial for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), depending on their skill level.
